On April 26, 2025, the Espacio Cultural Metropolitano in Tampico opened its temporary exhibition hall to host the much-anticipated art exhibit “Mutations” by renowned artist Luis L. López. Originally from Río Bravo, Luis L. López has developed an extensive artistic career in the United States, where he has explored intercultural exchange and the complexities of the migrant experience. The opening ceremony included remarks from Metro Director Martha Olivia Tamez, who highlighted the institution’s mission to provide space for local and international artistic voices.
